How can I join my spouse in Canada?

I know a beautiful woman from Canada and we decided that we should marry soon. However, I live far away from her at the moment and still don't know how can I join her; please if u know anything about this issue don't hesitate to inform me.

Get in the car and go. If you want her bad enough you will make it happen. How can I join my spouse in Canada?
I wish you both the best of luck, I'm currently going through they process (I'm Canadian married to an American).

Expect to spend a lot of money and get screwed over by the government at every opportunity.

If you are truly in love with this woman, nothing will prove it like going through the arbitrary b*llsh*t that the Canadian government is going to throw at you throughout the process.

If it's any consolation, it's definately worth it!

Edit: Gollybeth got it wrong--The Canadian Embassy (Washington) will not answer any questions about permanent residency, nor will any Consolate other than the one near the border (e.g. Buffalo)--and none of them will answer questions about immigration over the phone. Your spouse is better off getting the information from within Canada.
I live in Canada but you know, I can't quite tell you what the exact laws are regarding immigration.. but i do think that if you marry someone, you're welcome to join them :)

I don't want to say too much because like i explained, I don't really know. But I do recall hearing that you can at least claim permenant residency if your spouse lives here and is a citizen.. Since you'd have to come here to marry her (?) I'm not sure what the situation is.

You'll of course need all your personal information such as passport, marriage license or intent to marry etc.. I'd hit google and then see if you can't locate maybe a Canadian embassy near your home. They should have all the answers, I would think.

Good luck and congratulations !
