When to apply ITIN for my spouse?

I live in CA, I got my W-2 forms last week. I have to file my federal returns and apply for ITIN for my spouse. I would like to know is there any time frame which I should apply within? Which is the latest time I can apply for ITIN? Thank you!!!!When to apply ITIN for my spouse?

You mail your 1040 and your W7 (ITIN Application) together to the IRS's ITIN unit in Austin, Tx. The address is in the instructions for the ITIN.
