Where to live if one spouse works in Waco, TX and the other in Irving, TX?

Thinking of relocating to TX. My job can transfer to Irving, my husband can transfer to Waco, TX. Is it possible to live in the middle? If so, where? Thanks!Where to live if one spouse works in Waco, TX and the other in Irving, TX?
The Commute for that would be insane. Not to mention the traffic both would incur just trying to get to work. The gas that would take would be substantial. It is completely possible, but it will be a very difficult experience. The only cities somewhat between dallas and waco that I can think of that are somewhat big would be Waxahachie or hillsborough.Where to live if one spouse works in Waco, TX and the other in Irving, TX?
My husband and I tried this a few years ago and it did not work out well. The connecting highway is constantly under construction and there are a ton of wrecks that can stall the traffic for miles.

We finally re-located to the Waco area where the cost of living is much lower and the pace much slower than the Metroplex.

We have several friends that split time between the two locations. However, they have their primary home in the Waco area and a small apartment in the Metroplex area.

It is cheaper than driving back and forth everyday.

However, Waxahachie would be the best mid-point.

Check out opportunities in Dallas. AT%26amp;T is re-locating their Corp HQ there from San Antonio. Frito-Lay, JC Penney as well as a host of other major employers have a great presence in the Metroplex.
Wow...that's gonna be one hell of a commute! Not sure there really is much of a middle ground there. Maybe something like Alvarado or Mansfield south of Ft. Worth....but either way someone is gonna be doing ALOT of driving.

Anything in between is gonna be VERY RURAL so just be sure you are willing to live in the middle of nowhere if you want to try and do that.
