How often does your spouse drink alcohol, and do you think it is too much?

my hubby before dinner gets at least 2 ounces of liquor at least three times a week .sometimes 1 or 2 bottles of beer . and sometimes half a bottle of wine . i dont think it is too much compared to some and he nver gets drunk . so i am ok with it . fact he eats better so he does the deal better. How often does your spouse drink alcohol, and do you think it is too much?
I think drinking everyday either its a bottle or glass a day is being an alcoholic. If your spouse is drinking excessively, then most likely there is an underlying problem and you need to have a private one on one talk to figure what is driving him or her to drink and have that temporary feel of euphoria. my hubby has a family history of alcholism, so i watch him. he is a whiskey lover and he can go weeks without it, but then he can get a bottle and drink it in 2 nights, then get another one, and polish it off before bed, then buy one the next night and drink it all evening, so when it becomes habitual like that, to that point where he's not even enjoying it, i tell him i think he's drinking too much. sometimes he gets all pissy with me, but he backs off anyways, knowing i'm right. he'll go and buy a 5th and take him two weeks to drink, and i'll take a lil sticky note and put it on there that says ';i'm proud of you'; letting him know that i appreciate his show of self control. it's all a matter of the person, the history, and the effects.
My husband LOVES tequila but he does not drink it to get drunk. He likes to sample all different kinds. We have bottles ranging in price from $30-$330. He has a few shots or sips a week and a few beers per week. I've never seen him drunk...he never over does it and is very responsible. He drives a fire engine for a living and can't afford to ruin his career with drinking.
Everyday... he drinks at work, after work and when he comes home... I can already smell him when he walks through the door and his breath in the morning could heat the house for the entire winter... ugggh... its nasty hot wine breath... seriously... even the bed sheets smell like his breath... haha... its so nasty...





as far as his drinking being too much... yeah... i'd say so... his breath alone has put a complete halt on our sex life.
Now that we have a baby, he hardly ever drinks. Maybe has a beer with his friends at work when they finish up, but that's about it. So no, I don't think he drinks too much at all.
Everyday %26amp; it's way too much - you can smell it in his pours. I guess that explains why he forgets so much, never completes tasks and has a very very very low sex drive.
Occasionally and I'm fine with it. Alcoholism is a deal breaker for me. Period.
